Amazon is working to school customers on potential scams ahead of the holiday shopping season. The online retail giant is especially urging shoppers to be vigilant of impersonation scams, where scammers pretend to be representatives of Amazon and steal personal information or money.
In Bloomberg’s gift-for-mom experiment, Amazon’s Rufus was the only bot that tried to learn more before answering. It asked about her interests and hobbies as well as the price range. After learning that mom is a fan of classic films, Rufus suggested a DVD set of movies starring Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn.
Amazon would never pass up an opportunity to dish out deals to consumers. This year, Amazon's Cyber Monday sale will officially kick off on Nov. 29 —two days early — and run through Dec. 1. It will essentially pick up right where Black Friday leaves off.

An Amazon delivery was stolen in the Mid-City neighborhood of Los Angeles Friday as many online shoppers may be expecting to receive purchased items through Black Friday deals.
