Costco, Aldi and Sam’s Club will close for the day on Jan. 1. This is done to give shoppers — and employees — the time to celebrate the New Year’s Day holiday with families. So if you need to buy household items, decor and food for your New Year’s spread, consider shopping early on New Year’s Eve.
The discounter opened 18 stores in a single day last week and will debut four more on Thursday, closing the year with nearly 200 added locations.
