'Willing to slaughter': Calgary man gets 16-year terrorism sentence for joining ISIS
CALGARY — A Calgary man who joined the Islamic State terrorist group in the Middle East was sentenced Wednesday to 16 years in prison.
Temperatures are expected to soar 10°C–15°C above seasonal averages for early February. Southern Alberta, including Calgary, could see daytime highs reaching the mid-to-upper teens from Wednesday through the end of the work week.
According to the province’s respiratory virus dashboard, 197 Albertans have died due to influenza so far this season.
