Even before joining Alabama football’s 2022 recruiting class, Ty Simpson was familiar with one of the Crimson Tide’s biggest rivals. Simpson grew up in Martin, Tenn., where his father Jason coaches Tennessee-Martin.
The Tide are firmly in the conversation for the SEC title and a College Football Playoff spot, and on Wednesday, Simpson surprised his teammates with some gifts during practice. He gifted his teammates custom Yeti coolers before the Tide’s showdown with the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday.
