The anti-Trump protests in Austin remained peaceful, despite a “credible threat” that forced a brief evacuation of the Texas Capitol complex.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Despite warnings from the governor, the Texas National Guard was largely not a factor during Saturday’s “No Kings” protests. The seeming lack of presence was a welcome sight for at least one Austin state senator who attended the Capitol protest.

Millions of people turned out for "No Kings" protests nationwide on Saturday that were largely peaceful though there were some arrests and police had to disperse unruly crowds, including in Georgia and Los Angeles.
