Brydon Carse's efforts with with bat and ball are in vain as England suffer a two-wicket defeat by India in the second T20 international.

India have won their last three T20 internationals in Rajkot by margins of eight wickets, 82 runs and 91 runs. In the most recent of those games, against Sri Lanka in January 2023, skipper Suryakumar Yadav struck an unbeaten 112 from 51 deliveries, hitting nine sixes.

Jos Buttler continues to play with freedom despite the departure of Ben Duckett, and heaves Washington Sundar over the rope at mid-wicket to notch his second six. He has 26 off 14 balls.
