South Korea says Yoon still controls military as leadership crisis deepens
By Hyunsu Yim and Ju-min Park SEOUL (Reuters) -South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol is still commander in chief and there is no disruption to the U.S. alliance, the defence ministry said on Monday after it was revealed Yoon was under criminal investigation for declaring martial law last week.

South Korea's Ministry of Justice has banned President Yoon Suk Yeol from leaving the country, as the country's political crisis deepens. The South Korean news agency Yonhap reported on Monday that the reason for the travel ban is the ongoing investigation against Yoon on suspicion of high treason.
