Several locations will likely see record low temperatures by Tuesday morning, and a Cold Weather Advisory is in effect till 10 a.m. Temperatures will moderate and return to near normal by the end of the weekend and early next week with a chance for showers.

SEATTLE - Some neighborhoods in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties woke up to light snow Saturday morning. A rain/snow mix is also possible this afternoon and tonight. Additional snow accumulations in the lowlands are unlikely,

Moisture begins to tapper off as the low moves east. As skies clear a bit overnight, some patchy fog will develop overnight and temperatures will drop below freezing.

Most school districts in the Puget Sound and Western Washington were open Friday, including Seattle Public Schools, after intermittent closures during the week.

There could be between 14 and 20 inches of snow (or more) accumulating over Stevens, Snoqualmie and White Passes between Friday and Saturday. If you plan on driving over the mountain passes during this two-day stretch, stay tuned to the forecast and check WSDOT conditions before you travel.
