The Science Museum faced backlash on social media over a display claiming Lego blocks can be anti-LGBT. This comes as a museum tour on 'stories of queer communities, experiences and identities' included a guide stating that the plastic bricks may push the norm of 'heterosexuality'.

“Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO® Bricks” is on display February 1–August 24, 2025. In addition to the touring exhibition, the Science Museum will be offering special LEGO-themed programming while the exhibition is on display, including GLOW on February 1 to celebrate opening day.
