Salvation Army gives update on Red Kettle Campaign
(WKBN) – The Salvation Army has wrapped up its Red Kettle Campaign for 2024. In Trumbull County, the Salvation Army’s goal was to raise $105,000, and the campaign ended with a total of $105,200.
Salvation Army’s Kettle Campaign falls short of last year’s total
This year, the Tupelo Salvation Army saw a shortfall of about $7,000 compared with last year’s total. “Nationwide, the Salvation Army has seen a huge decrease in amount of giving, we feel like that shortfall is not super significant, but it does impact our budget for the year,” said Capt. Leanna Marion.

The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Center Phoenix said that one of its signature red kettles received a donation of a half-ounce Gold American Eagle coin. While the face value of the coin is $25, staff had it appraised and sold it for a whopping $1,310.
