Louisa Food Products, Inc. initiated a voluntary recall on July 17 for its Breaded Jalapeno Mac & Cheese Bites due to potential listeria contamination.

The affected ice cream was distributed to stores in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, with a best-by date of 11/26/25 printed on the lid. No illnesses have been reported, but consumers with soy or wheat allergies are at risk for severe reactions and should discard or return the product immediately.

A well-known ice cream brand had to recall hundreds of cartons because of a 'life-threatening' allergen that went undisclosed.
