A 28-year-old man has been charged with choking a Popeyes restaurant employee, who police say responded in self-defense by stabbing his alleged attacker with a pocket knife late Tuesday night in the city’s Ogontz section.

A 28-year-old man who strangled an employee at a North Popeye's earlier this week was arrested, police said on Thursday.

A Popeyes worker in Philadelphia who was being attacked by a customer stabbed the attacker in self defense, police said.
