For those wanting to see the Atlanta Falcons win a game convincingly, Sunday’s 38-20 road victory over the Carolina Panthers was a pretty good start. While the Panthers offense was tough to slow down early, the Falcons held them to three points in the second half with a few clutch interceptions.

Dalton, on a second-and-8 from the Atlanta 32-yard line, was picked off by cornerback A.J. Terrell in an attempt to find tight end Ian Thomas. The Falcons proceeded to piece together a nine-play, 84-yard scoring drive—capped off by a 2-yard touchdown from Allgeier—to take a 35-20 lead with just under six minutes remaining.

The Carolina Panthers were competitive for three quarters with the Atlanta Falcons, but the fourth quarter made the difference with a key mistake by QB Andy Dalton. Let’s get out the red pen and grade this latest home loss.
