The 52nd Annual White Marlin Open just wrapped up in Ocean City. Coined as the "World's Largest & Richest Billfish Tournament," the week-long event attracts anglers all over the nation.

95 pounds, reeled in by angler Tommy Farella of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., on board the Mama C out of Virginia Beach, Va. $111,529.04 49.5 pounds, reeled in by angler Chris Jones of Pottstown, Pa., on board the Shooting Star out of Indian River. $74,145.00

Dan Gough, a longtime Montgomery County resident and DeMatha High School graduate who now calls Ocean City home, landed a 72-pound white marlin aboard the Billfisher during the 2025 White Marlin Open.
