There are a few perpetual truths to the Notre Dame program. That includes a national championship expectation and a proud history of being Independent of a conference.

Saturday was a culture win for Notre Dame over USC, and that can be traced back to the head coaches of both teams.

Jones Jr. has received interest from several other national powerhouses, including the Miami Hurricanes. He was at Hard Rock Stadium watching Miami beat Notre Dame in Week 1, telling Rivals' Marcus Benjamin, “It was a great win for them, I’m glad they came here and did what they had to do.”
