The Detroit Lions opened their 2025 preseason in Canton, Ohio against a fellow 2024-25 playoff team, the Los Angeles Chargers, on Thursday night with the Chargers winning a 34-7 game. The game included a rough performance from the Lions' offense as Detroit was outgained 267 yards to 197 against Jim Harbaugh's team.

Two Detroit Lions exited the Pro Football Hall of Game contest early against the Los Angeles Chargers. Offensive lineman Dan Skipper was taken out in the first half after getting rolled up blocking for running back Craig Reynolds.

Though the final score of Thursday night's Hall of Fame game against the Los Angeles Chargers doesn't matter whatsoever, the path to the Lions ' 34-7 loss does. The game left me with a few questions about certain players and decisions when watching in real-time,
