Lionel Messi departed Inter Miami's matchup with Necaxa in the 2025 Leagues Cup on Saturday with a hamstring injury, head coach Javier Mascherano told reporters after the team's win on penalties.

Messi appeared to get tripped going for the ball in the eighth minute, fell to the ground and slammed his fist in frustration before walking toward midfield as play continued.
