Adam Sandler, Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, Ben Stiller and more actors from ‘Happy Gilmore’ are returning for ‘Happy Gilmore 2’

After much anticipation and a 29-year wait, Adam Sandler returned as the hot-tempered, big-hitting golf legend in “Happy Gilmore 2,” released on Netflix on Friday. As expected, the film was chock-full of cameos, many of them by real-life golfers and several of them with strong ties to the D-FW area.

Chiefs star Travis Kelce’s role in “Happy Gilmore 2” was more than a cameo as he acted with golf legends and a star rapper. Kelce’s father made an appearance too.

WNBA star and Los Angeles Sparks veteran Kelsey Plum has some sweet screen action, too. Plum, a two-time WNBA champion and four-time All-Star, was traded to the Sparks by the Las Vegas Aces in January. More recently, she's perhaps most well-known for trolling Caitlin Clark.

Adam Sandler returns as the hotheaded golfer in a follow-up that trades scrappy irreverence for overstuffed bombast.

The Colorado native appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2018, and has since become a content creator focusing on various golf issues, providing golf advice and pushing back over LGPA dress code changes among other things.
