The Giants are the first team mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Are there any positive takeaways after a seventh straight loss?

The New York Giants became the first team eliminated from playoff contention with a 27-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.

Former NFL quarterback and current FOX broadcaster Tom Brady is not a fan of how quarterback Dnaniel Jones handled his final days as a Giant. Brady, part of the FOX broadcast team assigned to the Giants-Cowboys Thanksgiving game, discussed Jones’s request for his release from the team after being benched and demoted last week.

After six seasons together, the Giants released Jones last week, following a 2-8 start to a season that no longer held any promise. Tommy DeVito was named the team's new starter, and Jones was relegated to end of the bench, even behind No. 2 quarterback Drew Lock.

Brady criticized Daniel Jones’s decision to request a release from the Giants. “I don’t know how that whole situation went down but to think that you’d ask for a release from a team that committed a lot to you is maybe different from how I would’ve handled that ,” Brady said, via Jared Schwartz of the New York Post.
