Erin continues to move westward at 23 mph. Maximum sustained winds are still 45 mph with gusts to 60 mph. Erin is forecast to strengthen into the first hurricane of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season by Friday and the first major hurricane of the season by Sunday, August 17.
