I won’t say it’s worth 10 years of anticipation, but “Dragon Age: The Veilguard” is still a solid and content-rich experience overall.

The Veilguard players believe the Lords of Fortune are the most underwhelming faction. The Lords aren't really involved with the main quest, and their quests aren't thematically appropriate. Taash also isn't as closely intertwined with their faction as other companions.

It is an engrossing one, though. Solas, the companion turned mad god in Dragon Age: Inquisition, wants to destroy the Veil separating your relatively safe world from the unbridled, demon-filled terror of the Fade. And since he’s the Elven god of betrayal, you can’t be too shocked about it.

But Harding, in Gray's video, finds it in her heart to look past the abomination. The dwarven scout, who is quickly becoming a fan-favorite romance option, tells Rook in a hushed voice that "I could kiss you right now. I'm going to kiss you right now." So romantic. So pure!

Dragon Age The Veilguard is more action-heavy than past entries to the BioWare series, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a real fantasy RPG.
