Ukraine's leader has ruled out recognising Russian control of the peninsula as part of a Trump peace plan.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reiterated that he cannot go against his country's constitution on Crimea, after U.S. President Donald Trump accused him of damaging the peace process with Russia over the issue.

The United States did not participate in the summit. Yermak stated after the meeting that Ukraine is dedicated to Trump’s peace efforts and emphasized that “Russia continues to reject an unconditional ceasefire, delaying the process and attempting to manipulate negotiations.”
