Matt Gay, released by the Indianapolis Colts earlier this month, got a contract worth more than $4.25 million fully guaranteed in Washington.

The Washington Commanders are signing Matt Gay to a one-year deal and releasing fellow kicker Zane Gonzalez, multiple outlets reported Tuesday.

The Washington Commanders agreed to a record one-year, fully guaranteed contract with kicker Matt Gay, his agency announced Tuesday. A league source told UPI that the Commanders plan to release kicker Zane Gonzalez.
